Mini Lesson 1   
Time needed: 15 minutes

Lesson objective: The learner will Choose three things that they feel strongly about or would like to change and write them down


1. Instructor will give examples of things that learners might feel strongly and things they may want to change.

2. The instructor will explain that if students feel strongly about the topic they will have an easier time convincing others to see things their way. Ask students how they would feel trying to convince other students that recess should be take away. Would it be easy for them? Why? Explain that selecting a good topic is important

3. The instructor will model and think out loud how to select a topic. Pick 3 topics they feel strongly about.

4. Then as an entire class the instructor will guide them to do the same.

5. In groups of 5 or 6 the learners will follow the same process and select a final topic.The instructor will monitor group discussions and approve each groups topics.
