Mini Lesson 5
Time needed: 15 minutes
Lesson objective: The learner will choose the topic that seems to have the strongest argument.

1. The instructor will explain that for this assignment they will only choose one topic to write a persuasive essay. They will need to select the topic they has the strongest arguments and they feel they the strongest about.

2. The instructor will think out loud and model how to select the topic that has the strongest argument.

3. The instructor will guide the class as they select the topic they feel has the strongest argument.

4. In groups the learners will select the topic with the strongest arguments. They will discuss the reasons for selecting that topic.

5. The groups will present their choice to the instructor and the instructor will ask when they made the choice they did.
